    About Devlime Labs.

Devlime Labs is a US-based software engineering and AI studio. Small by design, and built to solve the problem rather than staff it.

    01Origin

    How it started.

John Pribesh founded Devlime Labs in March 2020. Before that came more than a decade leading engineering teams in media, healthcare, govtech, and aerospace, plus startups of his own. The problem he kept running into was never the technology. It was distance: decisions about what to build were made a long way from anyone who had to live with them.

That is why the studio is a think tank first. Engagements begin with the problem itself, not with a feature list somebody else has already priced. The person who works out what is wrong is the one who then builds the fix, so the reasoning behind the work never has to be handed off.

Since 2020 the studio has shipped products of its own, built first versions for client startups, and taken on work across those same industries. All of it from the United States.

    02What changed

    What AI actually changed.

Custom software used to be an enterprise purchase. Not because the ideas were hard, but because delivering them took a large team. A large team gets paid whether or not it is the right size for your problem. AI changed that on both sides of the work. It makes building faster, and it is a growing share of what clients now ask us to build. A small studio can deliver systems at prices that were out of reach a few years ago.

    01

    The expensive part got cheap

A large share of any build used to be mechanical: setup, plumbing, migrations, test scaffolding, documentation. That part is now fast. What it never touched is deciding what to build, and that is the part you are actually paying for.

    02

    Small projects stopped being uneconomical

A firm with a large team has to turn down work below a certain size just to keep the lights on. We do not, so a single workflow worth fixing is a real project rather than a rounding error.

    03

The estimate and the build come from the same person

The engineer who quotes the work designs it, writes it, and supports it. No translation layer, and nobody learning your business twice.

    04

Enterprise-grade is the baseline, not the upgrade

Authentication, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and real test coverage used to be line items small businesses got talked out of. They are now simply how the thing gets built.

    03Who we serve

    Who we serve.

From a single-location business with a process that is eating its margin, to an enterprise carrying a decade of legacy systems. The engineering judgment is the same. Only the scale changes.

    Small businesses

Running on spreadsheets, manual handoffs, and software that almost fits. This is where the economics changed most, because the price of custom software finally lines up with the value it creates.

    Startups and product teams

Teams that want an experienced read on the architecture before a wrong turn becomes a rewrite. Or a first release from someone who has been the founder as well as the engineer.

    Enterprises

Cloud-native modernization, systems integration, AI adoption, and process automation — usually on a stack nobody can afford to switch off while it is replaced.

    04Real work

    Real work.

Products we own and platforms we have delivered. Alongside these, the studio has worked with numerous other companies across media, healthcare, govtech, and aerospace.

01Web ApplicationProfessional Services / Government Contracting

    Heart & Science International

A behavioral science consulting firm's WordPress site was compromised, and the replacement removes the surface rather than defending it. The new site is a static Eleventy build with no CMS, no database and no login: 20 pages including a federal contracting section, forms that post straight to a third-party endpoint, and a strict content-security policy enforced at build time. The homepage ships one 6.5 KB JavaScript file and nothing from a third party.

    Packaddx

A search engine for the trading card hobby. Packaddx indexes more than 15 million sports and Pokemon cards and returns filtered results in single-digit milliseconds, with a Break Analyzer that maps the real odds inside a box before a collector buys a spot.

    03Cloud MigrationEnergy / Industrial Facilities

    SafeTK

A multi-year platform modernization of an enterprise safety-permitting system, from a .NET Framework 4.8 web API to a multi-tenant .NET 8 cloud platform. SafeTK replaces paper safety permits with electronic permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space and job hazard analysis workflows for energy, industrial and institutional facilities. The engagement covers the Angular client, including offline field support, and continues through that migration, with each customer running an isolated deployment.

    04Web ApplicationHealthcare / ABA Therapy

    CertifyndABA

A recruiting platform that inverts the hiring model. Credentialed BCBAs and ABA professionals hold anonymous profiles, and companies apply to them instead of the other way around, so candidates can see who wants them before revealing who they are.

05AI IntegrationConsumer AI / Memory Preservation

    AlwaysWith.us

A web app that places someone who cannot be present into a family photo, most often someone who has died. It runs on Supabase with no separate application server: generation is an asynchronous job on Replicate, metered in credits by output resolution. Crisis resources sit in the footer.

    ColorBooker

A coloring book made for someone you know by heart. Customers describe the person and upload photos, the app generates real coloring pages from them, and the result becomes a keepsake gift. Built end to end with AI-assisted development.

    Markdown to LinkedIn

LinkedIn's composer strips every kind of real formatting, so this tool converts Markdown into the Unicode characters LinkedIn will actually display. Bold and italic become Mathematical Alphanumeric characters, strikethrough and underline become combining marks, and a live post preview shows the result against LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit. It runs entirely in the browser with no account and no backend.

    05How we work

    How we work.

Four things that hold true on every engagement, regardless of size.

AI where it earns its place

We add AI to products, build agents and automation, and help teams put it to work in their own operations. It writes a lot of the code here too, with an experienced engineer accountable for every line.

    Cloud-native by default

Azure, Google Cloud, Firebase. Systems that deploy on their own, scale without a rewrite, and do not require someone to babysit a server.

    Automate the boring parts

Most businesses are paying people to do work a system should be doing. Finding that work and removing it is often the highest-return project on the list.

    Honest scoping

If your problem does not need custom software, we will say so. A smaller correct answer is worth more than a larger invoice.

    06Get in touch

    Let's talk about your project.

No project is too small, and you do not need a plan yet. Come with an idea, a process that keeps breaking, or just a question. You will hear what we would do and what it would take before anyone signs anything.
